Updating Suffusion Successfully

1. In your WordPress control panel click on Appearance
2. Click on Suffusion Theme Options
3. Under the Introduction tab:
   1. Click on Export/Import
   2. Click on the button Export to a file – be sure you know where this file is located.
4. For extra assurance take a backup of your WordPress database.
5. Make a copy of the suffusion folder and its contents found in: /wp-content/themes/
   1. I usually do this on the server so that all I have to do to return to the previous version is rename folders.
6. Using your favorite FTP client, upload the new version of Suffusion overwriting the contents of the folder on the server.
7. Using your favorite FTP client – Upload the suffusion-options.php file that was created in steps 1 – 3 to the wp-content/themes/suffusion/admin/import folder
8. Return to your WordPress control panel
9. Follow steps 1 and 2
10. Under the Introduction tab:
    1. Click on Export/Import
    2. Click on Import Options
11. Your site should now be back like it was. I did find these problems:
    1. I had to set up my main menu again.
    2. And I had to reset the Hide “Comment form closed” Message on Pages.
